had a very successful trip to the FIRST Robotics World Championship. Our team, together with alliance partners, Team 5460 - Strike Zone and Team 125 - Nutrons, not only came home as winners of the Daly Division, but also advanced to the Championship playoff rounds and finished the season as WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP EINSTEIN FINALISTS!

2023 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP EINSTEIN FINALIST!! 〰️

The World Championship was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, April 19th - April 22nd, 2023 in Houston, Texas. Team RICE 870 was one of approximately 620 teams from over 30 countries. These teams were divided into 8 divisions - Team RICE 870 was placed in the Daly division together with 77 other teams. Team RICE 870 was chosen to compete in the division playoffs with alliance partners, Team 5460 from Lapeer, MI and Team 126 from Revere, MA. Upon winning the Daly Division, this alliance advanced to the Einstein Field where they competed against the other 7 division winners. The Team RICE 870 alliance played remarkably well, defeating alliances of elite teams to secure their position in the finals.

This season started with over 3,600 teams from around the world. The World Championship had over 620 qualifying teams from over 30 countries. Team RICE 870, together with alliance partners 5460 and 125, concluded their season as World Championship Finalists, finishing 2ND in the World!
